Special Cat

As the runt of the litter I knew she would be mine A black ‘n white ball of fur She was one of a kind. Wrapped me ‘round her finger With her little rounded ears And little button nosed face Looked at me and meowed “Cheers”. She grew up so very fast and Totally pampered and fun She was the light in my heart As she’d hop and play and run. But she did not stay with me long A pedigree, is not always best She was so special but died young I loved her more than all the rest!

We saved our cat Blinky - only one eye due to a Shingles infection. She was a feral cat and was about to be 'put down' by a nasty minded woman! Long haired -Persian style - grey, she came as a kitten and took over our hearts. I'm not a cat lover - dogs have always been my favourite, but guess who she sucks up to when she wants something? That's right! Me no matter how I tease her! Today she has a place in my heart - written poems about her too. Love all animals. Fondest. Ciao Denis.
