Speaking of Suicide

When folks get angry they rant and rave,
Some scream epitaphs,
others misbehave,

The really high strung
spew words of self hatred,
the drama occupies their minds,
venting is a way of chastising themselves,
or asking for help,

Words come out from their inner elves,
chanting tirades of ending one's life,
brings soberness and sheds light,

People who are serious don't talk about it
at all,
They may write a note and say "Goodbye Y'all"
Then one day they wake-up and decide it
is their time......
Ending it all with no reason or rhyme.

A sobering write. Suicide is, naturally, a very emotive subject. Some say it is the coward's way out...I don't believe that at all. It is, perhaps, a selfish act, but I try not to judge. A dear friend of mine killed himself a couple of years ago, and he was a wonderfully warm human being. It just shows, you never can tell. Regards, Robert.

Smile? Well, that's where awareness definitely need be in play; not only for family but also friends and, intervention upon a precious life whom perhaps cannot see that all storms in life shall sooner than later pass; should they live amid circumstances which allow so and, tomorrow may hold the greatest dreams they have ever known....So I say, "Kiss The Sun" ~ ....Cont:)

Margaret, there are some people who threaten suicide in an effort to obtain love an affection. In fact, however, they are causing others worry and end up driving them away. I've known people like this. A very honest look at the nature of people who don't know how to obtain what they really need. Brilliant poem! Love, Carolyn
