Speaking

Thy soul has spoken
Among the damned
And among the broken
My feelings are high
Depression is here to linger
So I earnestly ask why?
Or have you wept o god for the broken souls
Who have lost their eyes
Do you listen to all the helpless cries?
All these questions still exist
But amiss is my heart
And I need the answer
The knight has driven a lancer
Through my chest
Taking what remains inside
Giving me an empty hole that I need to fill
With love or faith
All I know is I need something to save
me
For I have wondered to a beaten path and
An angel holds close as she weeps
Singing an epitaph
Ready to take me to where heaven meets the stars
And all wars will end
Intended to bend beyond an unbreakable angle
And falter until a deathly misstep
I will live a life ready to fall
