Speak Not

Examine thy own life
Before thou examine other's life
We are blind to our own dirty deeds
But we have countless eyes on other's deeds

Speak not of others, if thou have nothing nice to speak of
For God doesn't like for us to demean and scoff
Therefore do not be hasty with thy speech
For if thy rend something special it will be hard to stitch

Speak not of good and cast thou eyes sideways
For it's a sign of hypocrisy and evil ways
And God's blessing to thee will transfer fourfold to others
For he didn't give the power of speech to harm our brothers

Speak not if it's for foolish things
Waste not thou speech for nonsensical things
Do not give foolishness free rein
But allow wisdom and understanding to reign

Speak thy words carefully
That thou may live peacefully
Each word thou uttered is thy responsibility
Whether thou speak nonsense or sensibly
