Speak No Longer

I speak no longer
Of a love long past
For how I thought
Love would last
And hearts fires
Would endure
How are love
Would remain pure
Oh how I remember
Those days
In the long green grass
We would lay
Looking into your eyes
So intense
Tears would seep
Our feelings for each other
Ran so deep
Then you changed
Like the night
That turns to day
Like the wind
That blows the clouds away
Leaving me speechless
With no more words to say
As I recollect
Of the time we laid in the grass
I will speak no longer
Of a love long past….
