Soylent Red
Forward... for those of you rather younger than I, Soylent Green was a movie in which overpopulation was reduced by making people into biscuits... yes really!
SOYLENT RED
It’s dark and it’s drizzling
The burgers are sizzling
We’re toasting the baps in the grill
No creature was injured
For Ted couldn’t be cured
The virus had made him too ill
And once he was panting
And ceaselessly ranting
His sister conducted the kill
We skinned him then rinsed him
Then auntie Maud minced him
But then at the door, the old bill
He stood in our porch
with his baton and torch
And that was the end of that copper
Before we could carve him
We needed to halve him
Which Benjamin did with his chopper
The world now unclean
Full of horrors obscene
With no cure for this human blight
So we off them and scoff them
But two don’t come often
So no-one goes hungry tonight
