Sowing a Seed To Make Me Bleed
Much consideration was spent choosing a seed with intent
For I didn't want a weed, I had a much higher need
So I planted the seed deep in the Earth with caution not heed
Hoping it was heaven sent, it grew strong proud and slightly bent
But unknowingly to me I was sowing a seed to make me bleed
It wonderously grew with an amazing stock of emerald blue
When a violet flower did appear I let out an ecstatic joyous cheer
But it was to good to be true for a thorn made a breakthrough
My blood did smear for my touch it seemed to unquestionable fear
I did not try to construe for some things just happen to be askew
I dug up the little dear and gifted to a friend with a saddened tear
* I was literally entering the contest as last poem, but someone beat me to it.
