Bells ringing, children singing Sounds of the season’s joys Cash registers are dinging Bells ringing, children singing. Lovers are blinging; Santa’s bringing Presents for little girls and boys Bells ringing, children singing Sounds of the season’s joys. Written December 1, 2022

"cash registers ringing" - this is the part that is so apparent now at Christmas now, I do not remember it being this way when I was a child.

It wasn't that way, Caren. Actually, when I was a child whatever I was getting for Christmas was planned for months ahead. There wasn't this push to sell everything on Black Friday, etc.

Beautiful sounds they are too Milton, I used to love going to my daughters Christmas concerts. Theres no sweeter sound than children singing Carol's. Tom

So true, Tom. I always enjoy the children's Christmas programs, which I consider an essential part of the Christmas season.

Joy is such an essential part of this holy season especially in the music. How could we not be moved into joy by beautiful carols, old hymns and new gifts of song like gold, frankincense and myrrh? Thanks for the joyful moment in my day. Blessings of the season to you!
