Sounds

Have you ever listened
as a whisper lands on ear

I’m sure its still echoing
inside those tiny drops of tears

Have you ever listened
to unrequited love

I liken it to the roaring sound
of a single wandering dove

Have you ever listened
to a heart when it breaks

I’m told it’s rather silent
but that must be a mistake!
