quiet parts
out loud
other sounds betray

over that
which one
best defines

What I truly
want to say

The key

final piece
Assumptions
misplaced
with the process
in play

The whole
always greater
than the sum
of its parts

Being brave
not about 
being different
Or being
indifferent
— but being yourself

Being yourself
 in love
with the moment
Burning the candle
whose flame
— in indwelt

Still She Whispers

How do you plan
to feed your Muse
with silence
or acclaim

Do you stay open
to what she brings
or muted
with disdain

Still she whispers
in your ear
in darkness
and in light

A lifeline thrown
from deep within
ignored
— to roam the night
