Sound of the Rain

I hear the winds blow I hear the thunder loud and clear I see the lightning, oh so near! I love this time of the year The water falls with a steady rhythm the scent of monsoon in the air I stretch my hand out to feel the water and stand outside to feel the wind in my hair And the water washes away my every care It cleans my soul, and frees me of all the worries I've had I feel the glee and extremely free As I stand there in my balcony time passes by, slow and steady I look at the sky and let out a sigh Tonight I need no blanket I need no light I need no lullaby I need this sight and the sound of the rain to fall asleep tonight
