Souls of the Crows

You took from me my tattered wing Taught me how to be heard when I sing Showed me how to breath alone Without you I feel no hope Tell me please there's a chance for me To give to you my empathy For you had shown the world to me And yet you never asked for much I cannot bare any less of such You gave to me time to mend Showed me what its like to have a friend Remember me I truly pray As my soul begins to stray Some in life are not meant be For they can't fight off the voice inside It endlessness eats them until they die And so to you these words are true Couldn't have done it without you So please know this is not you to blame A broken heart can take away all the sane Tears your heart up to the brain The world you truly are to me But in the end its not the same Even though I wished it could be It comes close but every day it turns to night Hope to see them when I turn on my light The emptiness starts slow enough at first Begins to grow till it turns to fright You removed the pain which clamped my wings Taught me how to freely sing I sing myself to sleep at night And pray i die after I turn out the light You fixed my wings and my voice But the pain inside is not my choice For if it was i never would have met someone As I say the final words Think of me as you see a flock of crows Visualize my soul you freed from my pain Close your eyes and pray for me See me flap my wings again And hear the final song I bring And thank you for believing in me friend
