Soul Searching

There is the light in your soul
Something deep, deep inside
That you want to hide
Because its your precious guide

People are curious and cruel
They want to reveal 
The treasure they will steal
And you will never heal

The part of you will be gone
You will never be whole
If you let them unroll
The valuable secrets of your soul

This made me think, Vesna-- yes I agree that there is this light within our souls that we try to keep safe-- I like that thought, of it being our guide... but sometimes, I believe that a sliver of that light breaks free, and others see it and hopefully use that light not to tear you apart but to make you glow more. Sorry I hope I am making sense. Thank you for passing by my poems!
