Soul Searching

People tend to judge What they do not get. As I lay here on my couch I pack my bowl And don’t regret. I don’t regret The places that I've been. Or The people that I’ve met. I’ve traveled Here and there And back again And yet I haven’t left. I’ve seen the stars explode Inside my soul. And ashes sprout to life When they mingle, My mind tingles, As the fire loses light. So Don't stop breathing, Keep on dreaming, Keep that fire Burning bright. Because this high The only reason that- I know I’m Alive.
