Soul Search

Searching my soul for something that's pure.
Something that's not infected by my mind,
something secure.
I easily manipulate and even more so infatuate.
The exterior that I bare is playing tricks on people
and I seem to let it.
I need to become what meets the eyes.
No more cover-ups, no more lies.
My soul is now set to reborn,
escaping from a heart that has been toyed with and torn.
Never again pretending to be what others expect of me.
So here I go with my head held high.
Here I go setting my soul free!
