Soul Mates
I know someday you will leave me
Or maybe I will leave you.
But we will always be joined together by love,
For our hearts beat as one not two.
I will hold dear your memory,
Or maybe you will hold mine.
Yet the joy will linger where it touched our hearts
To create a love divine.
So long have we travelled together,
But on life’s road now turned a bend.
So I might bid you farewell - but never goodbye
My sweetheart and dearest friend.
