Soul in the Storm

November 2025

I’ve been fighting with my shadows, they don’t sleep at night
Told my demons, “You can follow, but you won’t take my light”
Had to bleed to believe that I could heal inside
Every tear that I cried just baptized my mind
I walked through rain, I walked through fire
Each burn became desire
Lost friends to the liars
But I found peace in the silence, yeah
Even when the days turn dark, I can see the spark
Reading fate in faded marks, I was made from scars
Armor heavy, but my heart still pure
Had to die a little just to feel secure
People plot, people scam, it’s the frost of man
I don’t hate ‘em — I just understand
They lost too, reaching for a hand
We’re all dust, trying to make a stand
I can’t turn the clock back, nah
But I learned from the time I lost
Every fall, every cross, it cost
But it taught me who’s God and who’s not, yeah
Now I move with grace in the chaos
Pain in my past, but I wear it like seance
Energy changed, my aura got honest
Ain’t chasing fame, I’m chasing promise
I got fortitude when my faith was thin
Told myself, “Boy, don’t break again”
The storm don’t end, it just bends the man
Till he finds the strength to stand again
I was born anew, not by chance but proof
Didn’t buy my worth, I found my truth
Now the mirror don’t lie to me
I see who I’m tryna be
I ain’t damned, I ain’t sad
Just growing through the pain I had
Every loss made my spirit expand
Now I’m light wrapped in a broken man
(Yeah…)
It’s all a part of God’s plan
