Soul Food

Swallowing starlight, thirsting
on ether that roars through
the cosmos as fine, icy fire.

Nibbling moon-dust, gobbling
comets that streak through the
heavens from heaven knows where.

Digesting mysteries older than time,
inhaling the dew, grateful for tastes
that are forever ancient and new.

Love the thoughts expressed in this delightful lyrical poem. Thank you much for the stop to read my humor. I've written enough fly poems to put together a small volume! Now all I need is money! Best to you in your writing endeavors. / M
