Soul Destroyer
Crying out in pain and your fingers dig deep
Deep into mine so that I bleed
Suddenly you let go and leave
Psychotic rain that seeps
Trickling down my fingertips
Droplets stain my lips
I hold on, now how hard he grips
Your way is lost because the doctor abandons
Your smile surrenders
Innocence burns quickly to vengeance
The worm builds under your skin and festers
Eating away at your lungs and you kiss me
The disease travels, feeding constantly
It’s hopeless because now he’s making me see
No cure but he holds the key
Locked inside you and released within me
Pandora’s Box among the sands
Singing aura in forgotten lands
Acknowledgement it demands
Open it and it burns your hand
Your smile has a pain that lingers
Your touch like sweet splinters
So seductive she shivers
Burning in the sun, his icy fingers
Take a trip, icy slivers
Goosebumps rise in fright
His love is a circle, summer’s day, a winter’s night
He is the sun, holding a light that I need
Cancerous, the light falls on my skin
Immersing slowly, happening unseen
I can’t stay away but I can’t breathe
Can’t let go but it’s destroying me.
