Sorry I Let Go

Sorry I made you wait
While you were clearly ready to go
It's cause I was having a hard time chosing the weight,
That I had to let go

For I wanted to start this journey with you
With a clean heart and open arms
So that whatever I get I receive
A fresh heart to hold you in

Wanted to have a lighter conscious
Not a mind troubled by old love
Wanted to have a heart that's ready
For the adventure that awaits

Maybe you are afraid of this new path
I too am but I have to hold myself together
Cause one of has to be strong for the journey
To carry our hearts when we get weary

It might take us time to find our true path
But if we stick close to each other
And be mindful of each other
No one will tire not until the journey is over
