Sorry

sorry always seems to be the word
thats always said,but seldom heard
and harsh words and feelings spent
wasted emotion on words not meant

sometimes it's not nearly enough
anger stops all lovey dove
and sometimes i find it hard to cope
words just sound like old rope

i hold my breath and count to three
hoping you will cuddle me
but alas it's just a waste to you
i still hold on to a love so true

one day you may see me walk away
maybe that will make you swoon or sway
but still it shouldn't come to this
just turn to cuddle or even kiss

harsh words that we've so often said
still spin around inside my head
the words i should have long forgot
still strangle my heart into a knot.
