Sorrow

why, why
she falls to her knees in front of the gravestone
and buries her face in her hands
reality begins to set in
and her mascara begins to mix with her tears
the wind starts to howl
sending dirt flying up into the air
an abrupt noise interrupts her sorrow
removing her drenched face from her soaked hands
she noticed he was staring deeply into the sky
standing tall, with the brim of his hat shadowing his eyes
thunder is heard off in the distance
as she notices a big storm rolling in
lightning flashes as again the thunder sounds
looking back at her brother searching for answers
she gasps for breath
when she notices an awkward half smile on his face
followed by a single tear rolling down his cheek
confused and lost in a sea of uncertainty
she begins to ponder what thoughts are running through his mind
then he simply mutters "its going to rain today"
