Sons of God
" 1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." 1 John 3:1 KJV
Behold what manner of love
The Father hath bestowed upon us
That we should be called the Sons of God—
Amazing love of the Infinite and His heavenly chorus!
The Majesty of heaven clothed in divinity,
Lovingly joined the Sons of God’s on earth;
Took on a form of humanity;
By Mary given birth.
Sons of God is an amazing title,
For those lost in sin and woe.
God’s hand of compassion keeps us
And His heart won’t let us go.
It’s the sin that separates us,
But only for a time.
God wants to make us holy,
So that sin is forced to resign.
God’s love is holy and pure
And available for all mankind.
He has adopted us as His children;
Plans an eternal inheritance we find.
The Sons of God require God’s character
For redemption to be complete.
Pride and arrogance are His enemies,
But they shall surely find their defeat.
Sons of God surrender
To their Creator and Redeemer;
Choose to follow Christ’s example
And accept Him as their Savior.
They depend upon God’s love
And His comfort to endure,
The trials found on earth,
Until their eternity is sure!
