Songs of Spring

Birds are singing
Springtime songs.
A nest is full
Before too long.
Together they will
Feed their young,
Until their song
Of flight is sung.
Some may fall
While most will fly.
They can't help them,
Yet they try.
An empty nest
Blows from the tree.
Next year... another
...Two or three.
