Songs I Drop

Yeah… (mmm)
World so cold, I been froze in my thoughts (yeah)
Angels talk, but the demons, they talk a lot (they talk a lot)
I don’t sleep, I just bleed on these songs I drop
Tryna turn this pain into peace before I rot

Had to fight my way out the dark, no map, no spark
Only had my heart and a couple broken parts
Every scar got a story I can’t restart
But I wear ‘em like tattoos, soul turned art
The rain don’t hurt no more, I’m numb
Tears mix with the blood, that’s where I’m from
Love fade fast like smoke in lungs
Faith collapse, but I still won’t run
You ever stare in the mirror till it talks back?
Voice of my fears sayin’, “You’ll relapse”
But I ain’t that man, no, not that past
Still, the shadows chase, tryna drag me back

I got frostbite on my heart, can’t thaw that pain
Tryna pray, but my voice don’t call His name
If I fall again, I’ll rise through flames
Either I’m cursed or I’m carved from pain

Yeah, I see through lies like glass
Every smile hide knives in the grass
They plot, they scam, but I laugh
‘Cause I already danced with my past
I made deals with my sorrow, shook hands with grief
Now it’s part of me, it don’t make me weak
Told the reaper, “I ain’t yours to keep”
If I die tonight, let my soul still speak
I can’t fake peace for the crowd’s applause
I can’t pray right when I doubt my God
Still I move through the fog, my flaws
Like battle scars that I never wash off

The darker it gets, the clearer I see
The devil ain’t red, he just looks like me
