Song of the Sea

Gold ringlets glistening
On the emerald water
Home of fish and crab
And otter

All bedding down secure
In their ocean bed
Sometimes I long for
That world instead

The frothy arms of the ocean
Rocking me like a mother
The whales and sea serpents
Each to me a brother

Dwell in the joy
Only the currents can bring
Listen to the roaring waves
Listen, then lift your voice and sing

Hallelujah, rush and spray
All creation sing along
All of Earth join in song
Rejoice this blessed day.
