Song of Hate

Is it over?
It never began.
You made me suffer
But I got the hint.

Nothing could've saved me
From your hate.
Why must this be?
You've left my heart in terrible shape.

Now I know better than to fall victim to trust
Or to foolishly beleive in love.
I'll never again do more than I must.
This, I believe, is a gift from above.

You ruined my love, my heart.
Messed me up for those to come.
But from this I got my new start
And now the song of hate I'll forever hum.
