Song Of Betrayal

A million myriad colours of love Some resplendent others in shades of grey For those drenched in romance, world's a love cove Sadly, ones out of it can only pray When it is beautiful, it is gorgeous Like a carved sliver of Heaven on Earth When things go spiralling down they turn sour You tend to realize value of worth Morbid it is the feeling of despair like a soaring bird that has lost its wings Into the clutches of the waiting fox It falls, and its uncaring partner sings Songs of unbridled joy perched on a tree Once again freed from the strong shackles foul To be single and ready to mingle And trap another unsuspecting soul Gone are the days of lasting love and trust Forever fractured relationship crust To betray the one lover to think first Of himself and his own world is his lust
