Song and Dance

Seems I often think ahead of myself
Anticipating what I shouldn’t expect,
Sometimes like feeling beside oneself
Experiencing trivials I ought to neglect,
Paying no attention to inconsequential
[Things that are of little importance]
While focusing on the real existential,
So life won’t become song and dance.
