Son of the Morning

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!"

A. W. Nutter

Angel Lucifer, son of the morning
Devious thoughts he began forming
Against the master and all of creation
Destroy the king, acquire his habitation

Lucifer gathered his army, time to wage war
With God and his faithful on heavens shore
Paradise divided by this beautiful creature
As angels defected for this sinful venture

Archangel Michael, the Prince of Light
Doing battle against the Prince of Night
Defeating Satan along with his minions
Restoring order to God's dominion

Satan is busy gathering mens souls
Placing multitudes under his control
Preparing for war he will not abandon
A final confrontation at Armageddon

Did you ever think...hmmmm...maybe someone had to take the role of "evil" and God gave the role to Lucifer as Judas took the role of betrayer so Christ could fullfill his role as son of God? Things that make you go hmmmmmm. Light & Love

Hi AW! great poem....my Pop prayed to the Archangel Michael, and indicated that he appeared, along with 2-other Angels, on his death-bed, pointed to them, and said he saw them floating just above his bed, ready to bring him home....jmg
