Son of mine you've grown so fast
I wish that you'd just slow down
Enjoy the days we laugh together
While we played and joked around

You teach about how to enjoy life
And how loving is more than words
I pray you think what I say today
Remembering what you have learned

To see you still need me at times
As you take a trusting hold of me
Each day revealing a new surprise
I wonder what the next one may be

You're right where you need to be
Take what you see & learn from me
You bring Daddy memories to enjoy
Of truly giggly, boundless energy
