Somewhere In the North
somewhere in the north
snow lies at your feet
the avifauna still gather
upon the roof
where you would scatter crumbs
for them, our broken bread
mumbling about a one loaf love
i am having tequila for breakfast
the parrots argue
over my scrambled eggs
we are all cannibals here
we are survivors
the jungle and i
we have come to terms
and one of those is
somewhere in the north
snow lies at your feet
