Sometimes the Child Limits His Growth

Sometimes the child limits his growth
a friend of mind could not read
asking him why he stated
"the more you learn"
"the more you have to argue about"

People act on their beleifs
violence, corruption, inhibitions
all come down to your inner beleifs
as a child Dave developed this idea

The more you learn
the more you argue
granted it was wrong
his life is full of arguements

My son was also very talented
always got A's going through school
he had the ability
to become anything he wanted

yet he developed the idea telling me
"There is no point in studying
there are qualified people
that can't get into work"

Granted he was right
pointing our that two trained
nurses where working at
a supermarket

sometime if we over train
in one field
we find two many people
for the jobs we can supply

yet apart of me knows
those girls with the nursing
qualification could have travelled
could have found jobs

Knowledge leads to success
I wonder what those girls are doing now
bet they don't work in the
supermarket any more

A fiend of mine trained up
in medical science
he wanted to help overcome cancer
but that is not where reality placed him

now he helps design
systems for immigrants
coming into the country
he found a good job

perhaps not what he dreamed
but still it lead to his success
not that my son didn't succeed he did
he found a job in management

has a son and knows how to enjoy life
I don't see him much
but I am still very proud of him
life does not give you

every thing you dream
sometimes you wake up in the morning
and find the unexpected happens
sometimes it's better than expected.
