Sometimes In Life We Need To Just Glide

She took off running that rainy, November day, Flight strip was narrow, the sky was shaded gray, As she reached the end of the field, She saw a sign that said "please yield" Going so fast she could hardly stop, At the top of this cliff the only option was to drop, She had reached her maximum speed, It was now or never for her wings to lead, The sky was vast the clouds her tier, Fog was overwhelming, Her surroundings were not clear, She reached her highest altitude, This put her in an excited mood, Then suddenly she felt her levels drop down, She was aiming fast towards the ground, With thoughts of completion set in her mind, She had to come up with a way to save time, In the distance she saw a giant tower, This would save her in this hour, Now gliding towards this important mark, She suddenly saw a giant stork, She realized he conserves energy too, By gliding in-between flying when traveling some place new, Encouraged by this wise old bird, Her journey didn’t seem as absurd, When she finally was able to rest, She was thankful that she gave it her best.
