Sometimes I Wonder

Sometimes I wonder
What if we get stuck at this forever?
What if it never ends?
And this “new normal” becomes the “forever trend”?

Sometimes I wonder
Will we ever go to school, or never?
Will our classes ever be offline?
And we get to attend them with a straight spine?

Sometimes I wonder
Are some families more grief stricken by this so called “Thunder”?
Are they ever going to see those lovely faces again?
And will their lives ever be the same?

Sometimes I wonder
What’s going to change if I continuously ponder?
Will the virus become kinder?
Will we ever see the same sunshine?
Are we ever going to say that ‘everything is fine'?
But during this pandemic, at times when I flounder,
I sit quietly and ,
SOMETIMES I WONDER.
