Sometimes I Wish I Could Close My Eyes and Ears To...

Everyday I wonder hundred and hundred of times
Where this crazy world of ours is really going
Sometimes I wish that I could just close my eyes and ears to...
I hate to see all the sorrow and strife that's just happening

But I know that nothing of this kind I can't exactly do
No matter how much in my heart I wish it too
We all have to face life and its realities as they come to us
And learn to cope with all the ups and downs of life's stresses

Very soon we'll discover this for sure and all thru the rest of our life
That life is never simple or easy as we might at times perceive it
Sometimes in order to survive we must really be somewhat prepared
A little planning ahead of time is what may save us when we go thru rough times and strife

But still it doesn't matter you envisioned in your head the right way to go
We are soon to find at times that this sometimes doesn't work no matter what you do
Something will try always to block your progress sometimes
And lead you astray and then you see yourself going the wrong way

There are those times when I grow so confused with everyday life
And all its challenges and for all the things I see and hear ‘round me and you
But I always try so hard to keep my feet firm and grounded all thru life's strife
So I don't lose easily sight of where my God rightfully all the time is leading me.

Sometimes I wish I could just close my eyes and ears to everything, but, I just can't!
