Sometimes I Feel Like a Poem

Sometimes I feel like a poem

Sometimes I feel like a poem
all Rosy and pink
telling the virtues of a rose
showing you what you should think

Sometimes I feel like a song
uplifting you into the air
I want you to be happy
without a care

Sometimes I feel like a funeral dirge
marching you toward your grave
I'll remind all the people
of all that you gave

Sometimes I feel like a flower
holding the morning dew
reaching for the sunlight
looking all pretty for you

Sometimes I feel like a postcard
showing you a new kind of place
all colorful I arrive
to put a smile upon your face

Sometimes I feel like a dance
swaying to the beat of a song
my shoes will move in circles
bringing you right along

One day we'll all dance together
hands around the world
a new flag will fly over us
it's beauty to be unfurled
