Sometimes I Dream In Movies - Part I

Sometimes
I dream
in movies
like the one
I had
about
my ex

And
it was not
bitter
or
resentful
as one
would usually
expect

Instead it was
sweet
and
satisfying
and made
a very
clear point

He needed
to take me
on a
journey
and a
precise
message
to appoint

From what
I could
tell
we were
friendly
and the
sun shone
bright
in the
blue sky

He took me
to people
who are close
in his life
(although
with them
I’d never
connected)
but they played
a vital role
in my
journey
so they
deserved
a proper
goodbye

He told me
we had to hurry
as we
were pressed
for time
so
I hugged them
with love
and
showed
gratitude
for my past
and I
gracefully
left them
behind
