SOMETIMES

Sometimes, I wonder What success truly means If it steals your peace Or dims the joy in your loved ones’ dreams. I watch the world in motion Racing for applause and praise Chasing coins that melts easily While warm hearts drift away. They miss the meals that matter Trading laughter for a task Declining calls with trembling guilt Behind masks of ambition. Sometimes, I truly wonder What success is meant to be If love is left unanswered And you dine alone in victory.
