Sometimes
Sometimes, we let bad memories out and keep the good ones in.
Sometimes, we dwell in fear and doubt while we live in sin.
Sometimes, we stay above life’s frays, although we know their cause. Sometimes, we recognize true love, which makes us stop and pause.
Sometimes, we think that holding hands is all that love’s about.
Sometimes, we feel our wedding bands will never let us out.
Sometimes, we think our chained souls are impossible to free.
Sometimes, we feel our mind is framed by feelings we perceive.
Sometimes, we leave life’s path and wander far astray.
Sometimes, we feel fate’s wrath in subtle simple ways.
Sometimes, we’ve said bad things we knew we should not say.
Sometimes, we’ve done bad things we’ve regretted until this day.
Sometimes, we feel death’s touch in ways we can’t discuss.
Sometimes, we felt death hurt so much it showed in all of us.
Sometimes, we felt death was much too near while burying the dead. Sometimes, we found that one lone tear was all our hearts could shed.
Sometimes, life is demanding, and it causes us dismay.
Sometimes, our understanding fails us in many ways.
Sometimes, we’ve learned that ‘Always and ‘never’ don’t allow for change.
But we must learn from our mistakes, or our lives will never change.
