Sometimes
Sometimes, I wonder if you’re really there with me (are you there?)
You live life without a single care, my dear
At times, I struggle with a failure mentality (somewhere out there)
While you live your life without a care and fear
Oh, sometimes I wish you’d be near me
Sometimes, I wonder if you’d ever see
That I am the only one who cares about you entirely
I can caress away your tears and set you free from despondency
Sometimes I feel like giving up on you
But, of course, that’s wrong of me to do
Sometimes I feel like giving in to rue
But, my sorrow pours forth gladness so true
Sometimes I ponder about you
I wonder about you
I wander around you too
I squander my time with you
I swear I’ll behave around you
Sometimes, I feel like the world around me is against me (am I sure?)
You live life as if I wasn’t around you, darling
Sometimes, I struggle with emotional insecurities honestly (will I endure?)
While you live life comfortably and do your thing
Oh, sometimes I wish you’d be near me
Sometimes, I wonder if you’d ever see
That I am the only one who cares about you entirely
I can caress away your tears and set you free from despondency
Sometimes I feel like giving up on you
But, of course, that’s wrong of me to do
Sometimes I feel like giving in to rue
But, my sorrow pours forth gladness so true

I cry these tears of shame due to your sudden absence
You were my everything, my fond remembrance
I cry these tears of shame, for I’m not one to blame
For your lack of confidence and loss of innocence
Oh, sometimes I wish you’d be near me
Sometimes, I wonder if you’d ever see
That I am the only one who cares about you entirely
I can caress away your tears and set you free from despondency
Sometimes I feel like giving up on you
But, of course, that’s wrong of me to do
