I cannot take you with me
So I have to say goodbye
I must say I did enjoy the ride
Even those rough times
Oh, but I will not
forget about all the good times
You see, you made me expand my mind
Now, look at me
Can't say we didn't have some adventurous
merry-go-rounds
But what is life
without a few ups and downs
You see you birth new life
Now it is time to grow
from a little seed
to a well-formed Palm Tree
You never imagined my future
But it is time to let the past be the past
and let you go
As I still reap from what we sowed
I cherished our time together
not taking a second for granted
We watered those seeds
and provided sun as needed
So my tomorrow is promised
to be better than my past
You exposed me to some challenging times
but what is life if you can't enjoy a glass of wine
Meaning, changing the bitter moments
into sweet times
Getting stronger during those weak times
Slowly smoothing out those rough edges
only to improve over time
Please keep in mind
over time we all break down
It is a necessity for growth
So, remember life is like a glass of wine
So please don’t frown
I could never forget about what we had
I am only smiling because of what's ahead
You allowed me to move on to better days
due to the road we paved
As the old cliche goes
out with the old, in with the new
Fifteen is ending
my sweet sixteen is past due
You taught me so much
and when I look back
I can truly say
fifteen you was my back support
pushing me to my greater days
You exposed the fake and kept the real
I am so thrilled, we didn't get kill
Unfortunately, we allowed him to steal some of our joy
but sixteen will be full of sweet times to enjoy
Sixteen you represent true love
and true love has sixteen distinctive things
that represents the quality of love
So, see fifteen you helped me find my purpose
in order to walk in true love
Fifteen,...smile we will always have history
but unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye
In order to create my new destiny
So out with the old and in with the new
I looking forward to something new!
