Something Amiss

Rose pink glow back on that clear face, Oranges and reds reflecting on space, Starlight bouncing on cotton fluff, Just one of those divine stuff, Swinging gently to and fro, On my swing I thought, Everything is beautiful though, Then why this sudden drought, My heart dry for some reason unknown, An indescribable hollowness sown, Chirping birds and beauty celestial, Still I am missing something essential, What could it be I puzzle again, Lovely things all in a chain, Yet something amiss, Some missing piece.... 07/01/2020
