Someone's Wish

Chasing along endlessly
only halting to search ponderously
up heavenward into a vast expanse of azure purity
welcoming
the knowledge that there and beyond is not empty
but patiently waiting
for us to fill a Father's void
a Man who gifts of a child to the world selflessly
too short is whatever duration given the individuality
to celebrate what has come of His keeping
even temporarily
His House with one less voice.
