"someone You Once Knew"

Flashes of moments,
  memories from my past.
Thoughts of a time when I was
         probably the happiest.

When we were all just friends
   and we would always hangout.
Before the truth in reality knowing
what the real world was truly about.

Before girlfriends and boyfriends,
   lovers bickering and quarrels.
      Prior commitments and doubts,
          our own hardships and sorrow.

Leaving the worrying for tomorrow,
that's what we used to do.
That's just a vague recollection now,
        like someone you once knew.
