Someone In My Heart

Inside the caves of my heart Lives someone I do not know With unspoken word, starry eyes He’s quiet, peaceful and smiling And slow to open his mouth He only peeps and watches Through the glass windows Of my unstable heart at leisure Flapping his wings like a dove To shadowy activities of men The words he stammers out Are soothing and smooth Choosing to talk only when Deeds of men are cool and calm Like a lull in the Pacific Ocean
