Some will call it crazy

Having to admit your going crazy
Isn't as easy as people make it
Scared of saying the wrong thing
Not wanting to scare or hurt those within

Seeing others faces lost in thought
Wondering if they believe or just think your lost
How do you tell them you hear voices outside your head
Or that shadows walk behind me instead

Telling those you love that you hallucinate
Makes it more certain it's me I hate
I'm too sick to be loved or fixed
All my thoughts together just conflict

Reading people's faces when I tell them what I see
Only makes me feel their seeing through me
I cannot hide the pain it's causing
All of this was not my choosing

I try to be open, even when it's hard
Yet somehow I feel worse when it's said out loud
There are no words to describe the invisible
I just wish this super power made me invincible

Lying in the dark, thoughts won't shut down
I can hear the talking it's become so loud
I wish it would go away
But I fear this is now here to stay

How can I be loved when I come with so much baggage
Bipolar, delusions, paranoia are now part of the package
Dying is the easy way out
But those I leave are all I care about

So before I go, just remember this
Delusions are not to be dismissed
Embrace them if you can, fear them not
Because when you feel alone they are all you've got

Some will call it crazy
Others will call it sick
But neither are wrong or right
The answer lies with how you fight
