Some Wednesday Or Any Day

Eyes willed open
Pinballing to the bathroom,
Fishing for my wet junk, to uncork yesterday's debacle.
The 5 liter box, tapped, is one half turn
Away from a brand new day.
Zoloft, somas, oxys and ativans.
Chug-a-lug-a candy chemicals...
Peaceful electric brain sex..
All wrapped up in cotton,
steady sweat pours out the OD.
Dreamy episodes of cops and robbers,
Jerry, Steve and Judge Judy.
Broken down, rolling smokes, popping
Pills and pushing envelopes,
Freedom, God, and then another
Drink.
My life, my rules.
