Some Things Never Die

You’re still dancin' through my dreams
It still hurts - knowin' that you're over me
Been a month of Sundays since you went away
But the memories and the scars - remain
I keep prayin' - and waitin' for a change...but

I still want you - I still need you
When I close my eyes - I still see you
I still love you - much as I used to
Keepin’ all of this inside is somethin' I can't do
They say I’ll get over you in time
But I say some things never die

Quiet nights cut me the most
Your goodbye floods my mind and haunts my soul
Can't make you feel what you don't feel
And I can't keep hangin' on - to what's no longer real
I know in time - time will reveal....that

I still want you - I still need you
When I close my eyes - I still see you
I still love you - much as I used to
Keepin’ all of this inside is somethin' I can't do
They say I’ll get over you in time
But I say some things never die

Can’t bring love back again - or make my heart understand
How forever could ever end

But I still want you - I still need you
When I close my eyes - I still see you
I still love you - much as I used to
Keepin’ all of this inside is somethin' I can't do
They say I’ll get over you in time
But I say some things - like my broken heart - never die
