Some Kind of Wonderful

Tears tied behind my eyes did tear and fall
Unto my cheeks a clear and salted stream
Begging my lungs the air her name to call
Dispersed whispers although I tried to scream
She left as I crawled for my self-esteem

After the rain the sun shows us a smile
Forever she's been gone I've rained a while
Waiting by wells for wishes to come true
One day I threw a penny in the pile
And turned around and saw a lovely You

I too love the last line, it sums up the verse with style.
